• International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code 39-18 enter into force



    The 39th Amendment to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (hereinafter referred to as "IMDG Code 39-18") was adopted at the 99th meeting of the Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization and will be enforced on January 1, 2020.

        The main contents of the revision of IMDG Rule 39-18 are as follows:

          1. In terms of classification of dangerous goods, this revision has improved the classification method for corrosive goods.

          2. For the packaging of dangerous goods, add some packaging guidelines and add IMO-9 tanks.

          3. In terms of stowage isolation, the list of isolation classes was coded, and the isolation rules such as isolation class 1 were revised.

          In addition, some of the items in the Dangerous Goods List have been revised.

    From January 1, 2020, the ship will carry out the "IMDG Code 39-18" for the carriage of dangerous goods. The packaging of dangerous goods by waterway shall comply with the new rules of packaging guidelines, marking signs, dangerous goods list and special regulations.
